Too many rich people involved just for themselves. There are no categories to develop new talents, the organizers only care about the money they make and not about the quality of the sport. Yes, there are many passionate people that still take part of racing, buth those are getting very tired. When the main track in the country, Interlagos, is to remain closed throughout almost the whole year of 2015 just to receive F1, ignoring local categories and people that earn a living from racing, you see that someting is very wrong.

In response to your response about the article, they are far from implying that Brazil is third world, jus that when it comes to parts like wishbones, there are no facilities there like the Germans have for the dtm teams or that of the f1 teams facilities where they have the ability to make whatever part needed.

I suppose with computerized lazer cutting it may be possible with practice. As far as the statement about wishbones being made stouter to last it seems that usually the Wishbones are designed to bend before the chassis does to lower cost after a mishap. Wishbones can surely be constructed easily and quickly and need not be made in Europe and shipped to Brazil.
They have the Capabilities in engineering and manufacturing in Brazil to make armaments as well as aircraft so constructing these cars is not so difficult. The aritcle implies that they are not capable or that they are a 3rd world nation which is impoverished and cannot make a world class race car.I think it is more a lack of sponsorship or interest in a country like Brazil that limits it’s abilities in the world class racing. Yet $220,000 dollars for a race car is quite low cost.
In the USA the local dirt track racers with limited funds build some impressive cars for next to nothing and the Brazilians can do the same. Huge budget race cars are funded by sponsors as well as owners who own teams for bragging rights. Maybe a goup of enthusiasts could form a corporation expressly to build winning race cars to represent Brazil in world racing circuits.
