In reply to houston. Mercedes made a car that did 400mph, though it was driven just ONCE, and this is very little known fact. Another car that STILL holds the 270mph record, is the W125 Mercedes, with the speed being 270.431mph, and this took place in 1938!!!! Gee, how people FORGET about the EARLY cars, that were sometimes FASTER than the MODERN ones!!!
